Karen Tavares

Ms. Tavares has over 20 years of experience in the field of electrical and systems engineering. Ms. Tavares' technical experience includes design of electronic systems, schematics, and printed circuit boards. She has utilized her skills for a wide variety of applications, including control-feedback systems, cryogenic instrumentation, low and high temperature superconductor sensor controllers, data acquisition, fiber-optics, head mounted video displays, virtual reality system design, and design of EMI protection for electronics.

Ms. Tavares' technical capabilities include experience with various types of instrumentation, including spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers, as well as cryogenic liquid transfer and containment equipment. In addition, Ms. Tavares has written problem-specific computer programs in use at the consulting level, and is involved in the development of software, electronic devices, and integrated systems at ISE.
